The Printworks

The Printworks is a social hub within the heart of the Manchester with over 5,000 daily visitors. On the exterior, system scaffolding was required to assist in the external renovations and to allow new signage to be “craned”  to its new position on the roof. By utilising this type of quicker scaffolding, we have been able to maximise the allotted time given to erect the scaffolding, this was despite the strict working hour parameters set meaning that we could only work after the complex had closed at 2am, and as a result we also were able to negotiate the challenges posed and work during the tram shutdowns with access to all areas.

The interior consisted of a specialised combination of scaffolding types. In addition to system scaffolding, a series of traditional tube and fitting towers linked with bridging beam scaffolding across two levels has also enabled us to effectively negotiate the time frame restrictions and to efficiently fulfil the client’s brief of which demanded minimal scaffolding at ground level.
