CLIFTON SUSPENSION BRIDGE

Connolly Scaffolding are extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded the contract to provide the scaffolding solution to facilitate maintenance works on the world famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. The iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge is a Grade I listed building which was originally designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel who passed away without seeing the completion of the bridge. A revision was made to Brunel’s original design by William Henry Barlow and Sir John Hawkshaw with a wider, higher and sturdier deck than Brunel intended, with triple chains instead of double. Construction of the bridge was completed in 1864. The securing of this prestigious project is a testament to how Connolly Scaffolding are trusted by our clients to deliver complex scaffolding solutions on large scale projects.
